About me

I've been using a camera to capture stories since I began studying photography in 2000. I was fortunate to learn on 35mm film and develop in the dark room for nearly 10 years. I grew up in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I was definitely one of those kids that would tell tall tales and sang songs to myself on the playground. I was the first in my family to finish high school and I moved to Denver where I received my BFA in Photography from Metropolitan State University in 2010.

After a lifetime of image making, music playing. and traveling I finally thought to put all those talents to use and applied to graduate film school. I only applied to one, even though all my friends thought I was crazy. But I got in. I cried so hard when I got that phone call. I packed my bags and was off to California.

I received my MFA in Film Directing from University of California Los Angeles in 2016. I currently reside in Los Angeles where I get to run a small production company called, Spin the Dial, with my partner, Robert Nachman.

I am always open for collaboration and looking for stories that make me laugh and cry. I’m currently focusing on my writing/directing and doing documentary cinematography
